Materials & Processes
Can my rotted wood be repaired without having to replace it?
- Yes it can in many cases. We use high performance two part epoxies and fillers to repair damaged wood.
Can you match my stained wood sample?
- Yes we can. That's one of our specialties.
Do you have to strip my finish to do a quality job?
- Most finishes do not require a complete stripping. Our finishes are designed to bond and wear for many years.
How do you protect my furniture while you're spraying?
- We always cover our client's furniture with plastic or drop-cloths to protect it from overspray. We also cover floors with drop-cloths and construction paper.
What kind of paint do you use?
- We use a variety of finishes, such as: catalyzed lacquers, water and oil based polyurethanes, and two component finishes. Which finish we use is dependent on your particular needs.
What is the difference between a finisher and a painter?
- Cabinet finishing is not only a skill, but an art. While there are some similarities in preparation, cabinet finishing requires a higher level of attention to detail and preparation in order to achieve consistent, smooth, professional finishes. A finisher can provide you a factory-like finish.
